Stay up to date with the notification centre

In the menu bar of your academy, next to your profile picture, you will find an icon with a bell. This is the notification centre. By using the notification centre, you won’t miss anything that happens in your academy.

Which notifications will I see?

The notification centre provides an overview of all automated messages. For example, notifications such as:

  • A participant has submitted an assignment
  • A participant has posted a message in the discussion field of an assignment module
  • A participant has completed a course module
  • The export you requested has been completed

The notifications you receive depend on your role within the academy. Notifications related to users (such as completing course modules or submitting assignments) will only be sent to you if you are a trainer or mentor in the relevant learning journey, or if the users belong to a user group of which you are the group manager.

The notification centre does not (currently) display notifications about missed chat messages. You are still notified of missed messages via email.

The notification centre complements the notifications you can receive by email. You can configure (the frequency of) email notifications via your profile. Read more about this in this article.

Managing notifications

If you have unread notifications, you will see a red dot with the number of unread notifications next to the bell icon. When you open the overview, you will see the notifications in order of arrival.

Notifications with a red dot in front of them are still unread. Use the tick button to mark all unread notifications as read and the bin icon to delete all notifications. To mark or delete an individual notification, hover your cursor over it so the two buttons appear there as well.
