Create certificates

How nice is it to receive a certificate or proof of participation at the end of a learning journey? This is possible in Pluvo if you have a team subscription or higher. Below, we'll explain how this works.

Creating a Certificate

Creating a certificate is actually very easy, especially if you follow the steps below.

Go to your management and then click on certificates.
Click on new certificate.
You will find two templates. Choose the one you find most suitable. Then choose the primary and secondary colors. If you don't set anything here, the colors set in the academy settings will be used.

Give your certificate a recognizable name. This name is only visible to administrators.
Enter a title that will appear on the certificate. If desired, you can also add a subtitle and additional text.

Optionally, upload a signature (image, preferably .png) and specify the validity of your certificate. This will also be displayed on the certificate. If you don't change anything here, your certificate will have unlimited validity.
If a participant earns points with the certificate, you can enter the number of points and choose the point system.

Note: The logo, the name of the learning journey/course, date, and 'awarded to' are automatically filled in.

You can customize the logo in the academy settings. Click on the front page of your academy next to the 'manage learning journeys' button > click on more settings > click on logo & colors.
The name of the learning journey and the student is automatically added when the certificate is awarded from the learning journey.
The date depends on when you set that someone receives the certificate.

Adding Notifications

Does your certificate have limited validity? Then you can send a notification when the certificate is about to expire. You can choose who should receive this notification (participant, group manager, and/or trainer) and when this notification will be sent.

Adding Extra Information to Your Certificate?

Show course modules: Information from course modules within a learning journey is printed if you check this option. You can choose to only show the name. You can also add scores and time spent by selecting the boxes.

Extra categories: You can also show user categories on your certificate. Check which information should appear on the certificate. Read more about creating user categories here.

Awarding the Certificate

Do you want to issue a certificate upon completing a learning journey?
You can do this either automatically or manually:

Automatically: Go to your learning journey. Choose 'add modules' > certificate. Select the appropriate certificate and set conditions so that the certificate is issued at the desired moment. Read more about setting conditions here.

Manually: Open your learning journey from the homepage and click on the button learning journey settings. Then click on Actions > to old management. Open the Participants tab and select the participant(s) you want to award a certificate to. You can issue the certificate using the pennon icon.

Do you use registration pages for (physical) meetings?
You can also issue a certificate when a participant has attended the meeting. Here's how:

Go to the offers and open the page of your meeting.
Click on the date of the meeting.
You will now see the registration list. Check the box next to the name or names of the participants to whom you want to issue a certificate.
Click on the checkmark icon. This will register the participant's attendance and also give you the option to issue the certificate.

If you don't see a button to issue a certificate, you need to link a certificate to your event. You can do this in the settings of your meeting.

Meeting Registration

If you don't see a button to issue a certificate, you need to link a certificate to your event. You can do this in the settings of your meeting.

Adjust Certificate Email

You can customize the email that your students receive with the certificate to match your own style. This email is sent when you issue a certificate.
To do this, go to management > settings > emails and then click on 'Notification: Certificate Received.' Here you can customize the button, text, subject, and salutation, among other things.
