Resetting a participant's progress
Do you want a participant to go through a course module again, for example because you've made some changes? In that case, you can choose to reset their progress.
Below, we explain how to reset progress via the reporting page or via the participants tab in the learning journey.
You can reset progress via the reporting page. Follow these steps:
Go to Reporting via the admin.
Open the Modules tab.
Use the search bar or the filter options to find the correct participant and course module.
Check the items you want to reset.
Click the reset button (the button with the circular arrow).

The progress will now be deleted. When the participant opens the course module again, it will start from the beginning – with the most up-to-date content.
Please note: resetting progress is permanent. You cannot recover the old progress.
You can also reset a participant’s progress in the learning journey. Follow these steps:
Open the Participants tab in the learning journey.
Switch to the matrix view.

Find the correct participant and click the circle underneath the course module you want to reset.
A window will slide open. In the top right corner, you can reset the progress.

There are several reasons why you might want to reset a participant’s progress:
- The participant needs to go through the course module again, for example as a refresher or as part of a recurring assessment.
- Something went wrong while completing the module and you'd like to give them a fresh start.
- You've updated or improved the course module, and you want the participant to go through the latest version.
In Pluvo, a participant continues working in the version of the course module that was published when they first started it. This is intentional – it prevents confusion and ensures that no progress data is lost. Imagine you've changed the scoring system or removed a lesson – this could be confusing for participants who are already halfway through the module and suddenly see different content. If you make edits to a course module (e.g. by updating questions or conditions), those changes are not visible to participants who have already started. They will continue with the version they began with.
If you want a participant to go through the latest version of a course module, you must reset their progress. After the reset, the participant starts again from the beginning – with the most current content.
