Content item: Embedded media

Media makes learning information more enjoyable and educational. It's recommended to enhance the course module with external materials. This includes embedding videos from platforms like Vimeo or YouTube, Maps from Google Maps, or presentations from SlideShare and Prezi.

Even a regular link to Wikipedia or a news article/blog gets automatically enriched with a photo and introductory text. This makes external linking to relevant content easy and appealing.

Adding media to your lesson is straightforward: click on the 'Embedded Media' icon, add the link, and click 'Save'. You can optionally add a title and a description.

Embedding media via HTML/iframe

Want more control over how the media is displayed, or does Pluvo not recognize the link automatically? Then you can also embed media using an iframe. This works, for example, for HeyGen, Spotify, Vimeo, Genially, and SoundCloud:

  • Go to your lesson and click 'Content' to add a text block.

  • In the text editor, click the HTML icon (</>) in the toolbar.

  • Paste the embed/iframe code from the source (for example, the 'Embed' code from YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud, Genially, or HeyGen) into the 'Edit HTML' field.

  • Click 'Save'.

This way you can, for example, display a video, podcast episode, or interactive presentation with a fixed width and height.
