Managing skills

A group manager can:

• View the skills matrix for his/her group (see who has which skills and where the gaps are).
• Receive notifications when a group member's certificate is about to expire.

What a group manager cannot do:

• Create new skills.
• Link skills to certificates.
• Assign skills to users.

This must be done by a manager or owner of the academy.

Viewing skills via the portfolio

As a group manager, you automatically have access to the portfolio of the participants in your group — the participant doesn't need to set anything up for this.

Every user in Pluvo has their own portfolio. The user themselves and administrators can view the user's 'skills profile' here. It shows all the skills the user needs and what their status is. We only show the skills that have been assigned to the user (assignment happens through the user group they belong to).

Here too, you can click on the various skills to view the required certificates and issue certificates.

Here's how to view it:

1. Click on users in the menu.
2. You'll now see a list of all users. Type the employee's name in the search field at the top. The name appears in the list. Click on the employee's name: a window appears with information such as the email address and the most recent activity. At the top you'll see three buttons: "Chat", "Portfolio" and "Email".

3. Click on 'Portfolio'. Under the Skills profile tab you'll see which skills the participant needs and what their current status is.

4. Click on a skill for more details about completed and still-required certificates.

Viewing skills via the skills matrix

The skills matrix gives you, as a group manager, an overview of your entire group on one screen. Instead of opening each employee's portfolio individually, you see all employees and their skills side by side.

Here's how to open the skills matrix:

1. Click on the gear icon at the top right to open the management menu.
2. Under the Users column, click on Skills matrix.
3. Select your group via the Filter button at the top right if this isn't already set.

The matrix shows all participants as rows and all skills as columns. For each skill, an icon indicates the status:

• ✅ Green check mark — the participant fully masters the skill.
• ❌ Red cross — the participant does not (yet) meet the skill.
• 🟡 Yellow circle — the skill is partially achieved, or a required certificate is about to expire.
• ⚪ Grey circle — the participant does not yet have a valid certificate for this skill.

Searching and filtering

Use the search bar at the top to find a specific employee. Click the cross (×) next to a group label to remove a filter.
