Resetting a participant's progress
Do you want a participant to go through a course module again, for example because you have made changes? Then you can choose to reset the participant’s progress.
How do you reset progress?
Below we explain how to reset progress via the reporting page or via the participant tab in the learning journey.
1. Via the reporting page
You can reset progress via the reporting page, among other places. Follow these steps:
- Go to reports via the admin area.
- Open the learning journeys tab to reset all course modules in a learning journey, or the modules tab to reset a specific course module.
- Use the search bar or filter options to find the correct participant and learning journey/course module.
- Tick the checkbox in front of the items you want to reset.
- Click the reset button (the button with a circular arrow).

The progress is now removed. When the participant opens the course module again, it will start from the beginning – with the most up-to-date content.
2. Via the learning journey
You can also reset a participant’s progress in the learning journey. Follow these steps:
- Open the participant tab in the learning journey.
- Select one or more users.
- Then click the reset button:

Do you want to reset one specific course module from within the learning journey? That is also possible. The easiest method is to open the learning journey matrix:

Then click on one of the dots next to the user. A panel slides out where you can reset the course module:

Why would you reset progress?
There are several reasons why you might want to reset progress:
- The participant needs to follow the course module again, for example as a refresher or because it is part of a periodic assessment.
- Something went wrong while completing the module and you want to offer a fresh start.
- You have updated or renewed the course module and want the participant to go through the latest version.
Why does a participant see the latest version of the course module after a reset?
In Pluvo, a participant continues working in the version of the course module that was published at the moment they started the module. This is deliberately designed to prevent progress data from being lost. Imagine changing the scoring system or removing a lesson; this could be confusing for a participant who no longer understands where their data has gone. If you adjust the course module (for example by changing questions or conditions), this does not affect participants who have already started. They will continue to see the version they began with.
Do you want a participant to go through the latest version of the course module? Then you need to reset the progress. After resetting, the participant will start again with the most up-to-date content.
