Gain insights with the matrix

Do you want a quick overview of what the participants in your learning journey have already completed and what they still need to do? Do you want to know exactly which assignments have been submitted? The learning journey matrix is extremely useful for this! The learning journey matrix visually shows which participants have completed the course modules, assignment modules, external e-learnings, and certificates in your learning journey and which ones they haven't.

What does the matrix indicate?

Below you can see an example of a matrix. Next to each participant, you will find a total. This indicates how far a participant has progressed through the entire learning journey with all its components.
- Hover your mouse over the icon (without clicking) to see the progress percentage.
- Click on the icon to find more details about this participant, such as the start date and time spent.

To the right of the total, you will find all the components of the learning journey where a participant can make progress (course modules, assignment modules, external e-learnings, and certificate achievements). The light grey headers are the titles of the module groups, and the bold headers are the titles of the specific modules. For each module, you can now see at a glance what its status is. Use the legend below to interpret the different colours.

Here we explain the different statuses shown in the matrix:

An empty, light grey box: the participant has not yet started the course module.
A light grey box with a pie slice: the participant has made progress but has not yet completed the course module. Click on the icon for more information.

An external module (LTI/SCORM)
An empty, light grey box: the participant has not yet completed the external e-learning.
Green: the participant has completed the external module.
Red: the participant has completed the external module but with a failing score. Note: this is only shown if the external platform provides information about the passing threshold. If not, we will always display a green box upon completion of the external e-learning.

Filtering and searching

Above the matrix, you will find the option to search or filter for a user. Type (part of) the user's name into the search bar and press enter. Use the filter to filter the participant list by one or more user categories you have previously set up. Read more about categories here.
