Copy & Translate a Course Module

Want to offer your course in multiple languages? With Copy & Translate, you can create a translated version of your course module in just a few clicks. Fast, simple, and without changing your original module.

📌 Please note: This feature is only available on a Complete subscription.

What Does Copy & Translate Do?

This feature first creates a full copy of your course module. That copy is then automatically translated using AI, powered by OpenAI.

👉 Your original module always remains unchanged and safely preserved.

The following text-based elements are included in the translation:

  • Text and content blocks
  • Quiz questions and answer options
  • Feedback messages
  • Section and lesson titles
⚠️ Images, videos, and other media files are not translated. Only text content is automatically converted.

Available Languages

You can translate your course module into any of the following languages:

🇬🇧 English

🇳🇱 Dutch

🇩🇪 German

🇫🇷 French

🇪🇸 Spanish

🇵🇱 Polish

🇨🇿 Czech

🇨🇿 Czech

How It Works

Follow the steps below to copy and translate your course module.

1. Open the Learning Journey

Go to the learning journey that contains the course module you want to translate.

2. Open the Course Module

Click on the course module. A panel with the module details will open on the right side of your screen.

3. Click 'Actions'

In the details panel, click Actions (⋮). A dropdown menu will appear.

4. Select 'Copy & Translate'

Select Copy & translate from the menu.

👀 You may also see options such as ReportingExport results, and Export content. You can ignore these.

5. Select a Language

In the window that appears, choose the language you want to translate the course module into.

6. Add Extra Context (Optional)

You can give the AI additional instructions to make the translation better suited to your organisation. For example:

  • "Always translate 'learning journey' as 'learning journey' and never change it"
  • "Always use formal language"
  • "The product name 'WorkGuide' should not be translated"

This is useful for fixed terms, product names, or a specific writing style you want to preserve.

7. Confirm

Click Confirm. Pluvo will now automatically create a translated copy of your course module.

Where Can You Find the Translated Module?

After confirming, the translated module is automatically created. You can find it via:

Management → Course Modules

The new module will appear in your overview with the same name as the original, followed by the chosen language. From here you can open, review, and edit the module.

What Can You Do Next?

Once translated, you have a new course module in the chosen language. You can then:

  • ✅ Review and edit the translation where needed
  • ✅ Add the module to a learning journey
  • ✅ Publish the module for participants

Good to Know

Your original module is always preserved Copy & Translate never modifies your existing course module. A separate copy is always created.

Give the translation a quick check The AI translation via OpenAI is usually very accurate. We still recommend reading through the text — especially for technical or specialist terms.

Clear language gives better results The clearer and simpler your original text, the better the automatic translation will be.
