# What is a course module?

A lesson module is essentially the traditional e-learning module. Here, you'll find content such as text, images, videos, or audio recordings. Additionally, an administrator may choose to include assessment questions within a lesson module.

A lesson module may consist of multiple _lessons_ and _sections_. Think of a section as a chapter and lessons as the contents within that chapter. Sometimes, the administrator may require completion of a previous lesson before you can begin a section or lesson.

## Progress

Track your progress within the lesson module using the progress bar located at the top left of your screen.

This allows you to monitor how much of the lesson module you've completed and how much is remaining. If you've completed everything but the progress bar doesn’t show 100%, it could mean you've missed a button or an assignment. An incomplete lesson is denoted by the fact that the circle preceding the lesson title isn't filled in:

Don't worry if you can't finish the lesson module in one go—your progress will be saved! You can safely exit Pluvo without losing your work. The next time you log in, you can continue right from where you left off.
