# Viewing a skill profile

### Viewing a skills profile

Besides the skills matrix, you can also view skills and their status per user, via the **skills profile**. Every user in Pluvo has a skills profile: an overview of all skills assigned to this user and their status.
The skills profile is useful when you want to zoom in on one employee, for example during a development review, whereas the skills matrix gives you the overview across multiple employees.

### Where to find the skills profile?

* **Your own skills profile:** click the briefcase icon at the top of the menu, or click your name on the homepage.
* **Another user's skills profile:** go to **Management > Users**, click the user's name and then click the **Portfolio** button.

On the page that opens, you'll find the **Skills profile** as the first tab.

Please note: the skills profile only displays the skills that are assigned to the user. Assignment is done via the user group that he or she is part of.

### What do you see?

The skills are shown grouped together, each as a card with the name of the skill, a status icon and a status label (for example a green checkmark with "Obtained", or a red cross with "Not certified"). The statuses are the same as in the skills matrix; you can read their meaning in [Reading the skills matrix].
In the top right, you can switch between a **grid view** and a **list view**.
Click on a skill to view the details: which certificates fall under the skill, which of them have been obtained or are about to expire, and their expiration date. This is also where you can directly issue a certificate.
